These Chronicles will help you to follow the various stages during the realisation of an architectural finish project, either in the construction domain or in the interior decoration.
Along the years, I have had the opportunity to meet all kinds of situations and to face various difficulties that have been solved in a workmanlike manner. This has not been always that easy… but being continuously looking for solutions… we found them. Sometimes, it was the owner of the house who found the idea, sometimes it was the architect, but it was often the builder who worked on the site together with some of my help.
Before proceeding to each chronicle, let me remind you that my success is prior to all the result of a team work. As far as the production is concerned, employees have done their best to realise the proposed new designs. Sometimes, a lot of ingenuity and long consultations have been necessary to build elements that, when separated, do not mean anything. Once assembled, these jigsaw pieces bring the expected results.
Advantages to use elements in rigid polymer …
Technological advantage :
Each item is much lighter compared to elements that in the past were exclusively made of heavy plaster and of several assembled wooden pieces. Nowadays, these decorative items are made from original pieces, either in plaster or in pre-assembled wood, used to prepare the inverted piece original rubber mould. Then, the liquid urethane is poured into each mould, swells and hardens quickly. When the manufacturing process is finished, each piece is ejected from the mould, cleaned and painted with an exterior and ultraviolet (UV) rays resistant paint. When required by the project specifications, the product may also be treated to reach the ULC fireproof standards.
Ecological advantage :
Our needs in wood being reduced, this product saves our forests.
Pre-paint advantage :
The product pre-finished surface is an indisputable advantage. The primer is not necessary. It may be painted with any type of good quality paint finishing, with a brush or with a spray gun. Products can be delivered by GPL in Traditional White; Black ; or Pecan (beige) that may be used for dyeing or for the false-finishing.
Durability advantage :
It has been proved that this type of material withstands all the usual bad-weather conditions, such as dampness, cold, heat, frost and thaw with no undesirable effects. It does not rot away, it is not damaged by insects and remains stable for years.
With Almost No-Maintenance advantage :
This product requires very little maintenance. This makes it very interesting for various types of buildings, including residential areas, commercial projects, hotels, hospitals, reception centres, libraries and film sets.
