The choice of the dentil mouldings is enriched by a freeze that joins together the two levels. The flexibility of the material used and a little ingeniousness made it possible to carry out the two rounded ends.

Sets of embedded hanging ceilings:
The ceiling of this large room is quite enlightened. The carved panels are an adaptation of details that were formerly made of plaster. It is now possible to reproduce all these old details accurately, or to adapt them to specific requirements. Naturally, the costs and the weight of the material are much lower. The code of practice is complied with to near perfection here!

Contour of a richly ornamented bar. On a black background, mouldings of old gold colour, and the symmetry of panels all around the perimeter of this reception hall impart an impressive look.

Large Shopping Surface:
The bay mouldings bring a cordial environment that makes it possible to enlighten each section of this Shopping Surface. The production of the curved mouldings was carried out at the factory to adapt rigorously to the perimeter of the mural units which, they, were manufactured by a cabinetmaker of the area. A beige primer coat was applied at the factory to make finishing work easier on the building site.

A close co-operation was necessary with the architect to allow this kind of realisation. This Skylight is located at the top of a revolving staircase which, leads on a second flight. To obtain this spectacular "look", it was necessary to take into account the height and the volume of details.

Here, the play of the mouldings is more modest. The architect made a suitable choice of colour between the small mouldings to underline a broader tape and to bring an elegant sobriety to this ceiling.

False-finish:
One gold colour false-finished dentil moulding creates the ambience in this good restaurant.

Nothing is more advantageous than this polymer moulding on a glossed marble wall. Painting will hold permanently because polymer will never absorb moisture. Because this is made of a light material, this moulding could be glued on this marble wall.

Embedded fluorescent tubes that prevented the good diffusion of lighting surrounded the ceilings. With the collaboration of Donati Designers of Montreal, it was possible for me to bring suggestions and contribute to a beautiful realisation.

A rounded bay moulding placed behind the fluorescent lights and coming to rest on the lower ceiling allowed lighting to be dispersed suitably. You will notice that the perimeter of the edge of each ceiling drop was ornamented with a sober moulding to the 45 degree and that each corner was also turned to the 45 degree to bring a greater elegance to this reception hall.

The moulding at the perimeter of this room was glued to the wall. It was possible to continue with this same moulding pattern around the curtain box simply by adding a higher fancy board behind it to get an homogeneous result.

With these concrete ceilings, the incorporation of mouldings is not only aesthetic but is a utility. To bring electricity for the luminary to the centre of this room ceiling, it was not advantageous to cut the concrete on the ceiling. The moulding style selected could be routed in the back to provide space for running electrical wires from one corner of the room towards the centre. A made-to-order ceiling medallion was manufactured to match the size of the luminary and make it possible to introduce the wires in the back. It should be noted that, the same moulding which forms an "X" on the ceiling, was curved to make the surround of the medallion and bring the elegant ambience sought by Donati Designers.
